Dr. Julia Charles is a medical doctor and the lead speaker and event director for Bloom Girls. She delivers the wellness and body education sessions and leads the Real Life vs The Feed social media workshop. She founded WIM Studio Ltd, a healthcare social media agency, and brings both clinical authority and lived experience to every Bloom event.

Dr. Idorenyin (Idee) Charles is the founder and CEO of The Health Gospel CIC. A medical doctor, migrant, and community advocate, she founded The Health Gospel in 2017 to break down the cultural, religious, and social barriers that stand between communities and the healthcare they deserve. Bloom Girls is the next chapter of that mission.

The Health Gospel CIC is a registered community interest company (Company No. 13750687) based in Grimsby, Lincolnshire. Founded in 2017 and registered as a CIC in 2021, we exist to change mindsets for better wellbeing.
We work to break down the cultural, religious, and social barriers that stand between communities and the healthcare they deserve. Our work spans education, community events, social media, and direct community health programmes.
Based in Grimsby and serving Lincolnshire and beyond, everything we do is rooted in the communities we are part of.

The story of Bloom
Bloom Girls was created because the gaps were too big to ignore. Girls in our community needed a space that spoke their language, respected their culture, and gave them real information without judgment.
The seed is planted
Dr. Idee Charles founds The Health Gospel CIC with a mission to change mindsets for better wellbeing in underserved communities.
Registered as a CIC
The Health Gospel becomes an officially registered Community Interest Company, cementing its commitment to community benefit.
Bloom Girls launches
The very first Bloom event — Bloom 1: Know Your Body — takes place at West Marsh Community Centre, Grimsby. 16 girls attend. A movement begins.
What comes next
Six events per year. Bloom Girls Build launching — an annual innovation and confidence programme. Bloom: Roots braiding workshops coming. The mission grows.
